Our purpose is to connect families in the northwest Arkansas area to local birth and postpartum doulas. We also strive to educate families on the benefits of having a doula, and how they can help make your birth and postpartum experience more satisfying. On our doulas page you will find bios and contact information.
Our goal for this doula collective is to bring education and awareness to the community regarding the benefits of having a doula attended birth, as well as the support a doula can provide postpartum. We also strive to educate childbearing families about the many options that they have during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Additionally, we hope to create a community for the doulas in this area to support one another and share expertise and knowledge, bringing more doulas to more women. We have big dreams for this organization and as we grow, we would one day like to offer a wide variety of services from childbirth education classes to doula training.
One way that we bring awareness and education to the community is through our Meet the Doulas of NWA events. These events are free and open to the public, though we encourage registration by contacting one of our doulas. These events are held periodically at Terra Tots Natural Parenting Store in Fayetteville, Arkansas. At our events, we will have a couple of doulas to discuss what a doula is, how they can help parents meet their birthing and parenting goals, differences between doulas and care providers, and answer any questions you have. Our doulas offer a variety of services such as placenta encapsulation, prenatal & infant massage, and childbirth education. It serves as a great opportunity to meet with many doulas at once. We also hold monthly support meetings for doulas in the area to gather and encourage each other while learning from each other as well. For more information about our next event, check out our Event Calendar.
